Carole came as a new graduate in 1983, becoming a partner 5 years later. She gained a post-graduate qualification in dermatology in 2005, one of only 3 vets in the country to pass! She is married to Steve, and has 2 children. In her spare time, she enjoys horse riding and supporting Nottingham Forest.
Babs Ingram BVetMed CertVC MRCVS

Babs joined the practice as a new graduate in 1991, and has been here ever since... In 2008 she obtained a post-graduate qualification in cardiology (CertVC), one of only 7 vets in the country to pass the exam that year. She is married to fellow vet Matt, and they have 2 children. In her spare time, she enjoys running with her Basset Fauve dog Barney. She was very pleased to complete the 2009 Derby 10k without needing medical help afterwards!
Matt Ingram BVetMed CertSAS MRCVS

Partner
Matt qualified from London in 1991. He joined the practice in 1993 and became a partner in 1995. He has a strong interest in surgery and obtained the Certificate in Small Animal Surgery in 2004. He is married to Babs (see above!) and has the same number of children and dogs. Outside of work Matt is a keen cyclist, and has enjoys Time Trialing (take care on the A6 to Bakewell on Tuesday summer evenings!)
Nick Pine MA VetMB MRCVS

Partner
Nick joined the practice in 1999 having qualified from Cambridge Vet school in 1996. He became a partner in the practice in 2004. His main clinical interests are ultrasound scanning, and medical cases. He is currently studying for a post-graduate qualification in small animal medicine, which he plans to sit in 2009. Outside of work, his interests include cycling (trying to keep up with Matt!) and table tennis. Nick is married to Sharon, and has 2 children.
Joanne Hallam BVetMed MRCVS

Assistant
Jo qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 2004, and joined the practice in 2006, having spent a year in mixed practice in Nottinghamshire. She enjoys all aspects of small animal practice, but especially behavioural cases, small mammals and dentistry. Jo has 2 dogs, Star and Digga, and recently completed Wainwright’s Coast to Coast walk with them. She also enjoys climbing and salsa dancing!!
Ellie Whitehead BVetMed MRCVS

Ellie qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 2005 (and, as part of her studies, spent time with us 'seeing practice'!), and joined us in April 2007. She spent time in America in her childhood, living in Cincinnati, and traveling widely around the States, before moving back to England. Some random facts about Ellie: she has a Cairn terrier called Cally; she loves guinea pigs; she likes to paint and draw, especially landscapes; she doesn’t eat fruit if she can avoid it; and she enjoys architecture, and is scared of robots….
Rebecca Whatley BVMS MRCVS

Rebecca qualified from Glasgow University in 2004, and worked for a year in mixed practice in Gloucestershire before moving to Derby to work in a small animal practice. She joined us in 2008. She has a post graduate qualification in general practice (Cert GP), and has a keen interest in ophthalmology (eye problems!). Away from work, she enjoys cooking, aerobics (when she has the energy to go!) and ballroom dancing.
Helen Ozelton BVetMed MRCVS

Assistant
Helen qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 2004 and joined the practice in 2008 having spent time in mixed practice and a referral centre. In 2007, she traveled to Langkawi in Malaysia and worked for a number of charities looking after cats, dogs and donkeys. Apart from travel, she enjoys diving, walking her small but very lively border terrier Widget, and clay pigeon shooting.
