June is National Microchip Month

June is National Microchip Month! Microchips are a vital way to reunite owners and pets. Most people know that dogs need to be microchipped by law, but many don't realise a requirement of that law is that the contact details are up to date. So please remember, if you move house or change your mobile phone number, change your chip details with the company who the chip is registered with. If you aren't sure who to contact, you can search for your microchip at www.petlog.org.uk and find out who to contact from here.

It would also be great if it became law for cats to be microchipped too. It is so common that stray cats don't have a chip or collar making it very difficult for us to reunite them with their owners when they are brought in as strays.
