Receptionist

Jill has been a receptionist with us since 1993. She is married with 2 children, and in her leisure time goes to pilates, running and enjoys spending time with her three grandsons. She has recently had a Cockerpoo puppy called Kevin who is keeping her busy!

Claire Truswell


Receptionist

Claire worked at a Chesterfield vets for 10 years, doing reception, nursing and administration work. She left there after having her second child, and has worked at Alfreton Park ever since! In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, eating out and going to rock concerts! She is a huge fan of Foo Fighters.

Receptionist

Hollie has been with us since January 2012, having worked at a vets in Ilkeston prior to this. She particularly enjoys meeting people in her role on the reception desk. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her young son Tommy, going to the beach and baking cakes!

Norma Smith


Norma joined our team in July 2014. Prior to this, she lived in Shropshire and worked at two veterinary practices there, before relocating to Derbyshire in 2010. She very much enjoys meeting people at the surgery, and has a keen interest in behaviour and bereavement counselling. She loves going to theatre shows especially musicals, and spends as much time as possible with her twin grandsons and her granddaughter.

Qualified Veterinary Nurse/Receptionist

After having a varied start to her career including working for the RSPCA, Maxine joined us as our first ever kennel maid - but we quickly spotted her potential and she moved into veterinary nursing, qualifying in 2004. Her main interests are in behaviour, and she has an Advanced Diploma in Companion Animal Behaviour and Training. She runs the practice puppy parties.

Away from work, she enjoys spending time with her dogs Eddie and Tetley. She is the very proud owner of 2 donkeys (Humphrey and Barney) who came from a rescue centre!

The Pet Blood Bank are here today. If you would like your dog to donate, please contact them on 01509 232 222. They especially need blood group negative donors: Dobermanns, Greyhounds, Boxers, German Shepherds, Flat-Coated Retrievers, Airedale Terriers, Weimaraners, Lurchers, American Bulldogs, Pointer (English) and English Bull Terriers. Dogs must be over 25kg and between 1-8 years old.
