Royal College Report about Alfreton Park Vets: 'This is a super practice' - see News section for more details!

Operations

Operations are performed in strictly sterile conditions in one of three dedicated operating theatres. Anaesthetics are always monitored by one of our fully qualified nursing nurses (or a trainee under constant supervision) with the help of latest monitoring equipment.

The theatres all have positive pressure ventilation, and we use piped gases. Staff entering the operating areas always wear scrub suits and theatre hats to reduce the risk of contamination.

Matthew Ingram is an Advanced Practioner in surgery, ie has further training and qualifications in surgery - he does all our specialist surgery, reducing the need for your pet to be referred for complicated procedures.
